Remote Tutoring 101

Cost: There is no fee for this training, but your tax-deductible donation will support our tutor training program and literacy learners across Minnesota!
Description: Join Literacy Minnesota Adult Basic Education and ESL trainers for a virtual workshop on how to be an effective tutor from a distance! Learn best practices for connecting and communicating one-on-one with adult learners on the phone or online, get suggestions for correcting errors and checking comprehension in a virtual setting, and discover language activities that can be done over the phone or on a video call. Can’t wait to “see” you there!
CEUs will be emailed to participants after the webinar, typically within 1-2 business days. Webinars are not recorded, but please check literacymn.org/volunteer-trainings for additional sessions.
