Racial Equity 101

Description: Join us for a webinar and virtual conversation on racial equity. During this session, we’ll discuss important terms, including racism, white supremacy, white privilege and white fragility. We’ll also practice responding to instances of racism in various scenarios. You’ll leave with resources to address and dismantle racism. This is a great session for those who are newer to conversations on race or those who would like to share their knowledge and experiences with others. All are welcome!
Please note that you will be asked to participate in discussion groups during the webinar because we believe that one of the best ways to begin to dismantle racism is to talk about it. Please plan to join us from a quiet setting where you can see the PowerPoint slides and use your audio.
CEUs will be emailed to participants after the webinar, typically within 1-2 business days. Webinars are not recorded, but please check literacymn.org/volunteer-trainings for additional sessions.
