Teaching Citizenship Remotely

Description: Jessica Horning, citizenship teacher for the Literacy Minnesota Open Door Learning Centers, will share multiple ways to teach and review the content of the citizenship interview in fun, interactive ways using a virtual teaching platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. Participants will receive links to online resources that can be used in one-on-one or small group teaching settings.

This is a recorded webinar that can be viewed asynchronously, with an accompanying reflection guide which can be submitted for attendance credits that count towards the Foundations of Remote Instruction certificate and generate CEUs.

In order to view the recording, register below. After registration, you will receive an email with links to access the recording, materials and reflection guide. Once the reflection guide is complete, send a copy to Literacy Minnesota to receive full participation credit. (Full instructions are in the email.)

2) Make sure you’ve registered correctly by consulting the written directions or help video. (The registration includes TWO screens where you must enter your information—make sure you go all the way through!)
