Description: The U.S. immigration system is complex, and it impacts the lives of many learners in adult education. In the first part of this interactive two-hour webinar, attorney Erin Schutte Wadzinski will provide a general overview of immigration law and answer your questions about the complexities of the U.S. federal immigration system. In the second hour, Erin will share guidance on how teachers, volunteers and community members can support immigrants as they navigate their personal immigration journey.

Please note that you may be asked to participate in discussion groups during the webinar. Please plan to join us from a quiet setting where you can see the PowerPoint slides and use your audio.

CEUs will be emailed to participants after the webinar, typically within 1-2 business days. Please note that if you miss more than 15 minutes of the session, we are unable to issue you CEUs.

Webinars are not recorded, but please check our training calendar for additional sessions.

This workshop meets the Literacy Minnesota Equity and Cultural Awareness in Education (formerly the Social Justice in Education) Certificate Program requirements. Learn more about the certificate program.
